Overview
The UAE, distinguished by its varied expatriate community, stands as a pivotal player in the TNE sector. Home to approximately 10 million people, about 85% of whom are foreign nationals, the UAE offers a vibrant, multicultural educational environment. With a youthful demographic, high per capita income, and a strategic position as a technological and business hub, the UAE is an appealing destination for international students. It is the UK's largest TNE market in the Middle East and ranks among the top ten globally.
The UAE focuses primarily on strengthening its higher education sector through partnerships that enhance both Emirati employability and the recruitment of international students. The common TNE partnerships here involve both IBCs and franchise programmes, supported by the strong economy and the country's strategic goal to become a leading education hub in the region.
