The British Council were delighted to host a pre-event reception for the Study UK Fair India February 2020 in Chennai. The evening was attended by over 70 guests which included delegates from over 39 UK institutions, education consultants, and alumni.

The reception included a market briefing by Janaka Pushpanathan, Director, South India, British Council India. Janaka gave an economic overview of the Higher Education landscape in India, with a focus on new national education policy, changing trends in opportunities and challenges due to GIR, and a case study of growth in Tier 2 markets in South India.
