On the 5th March 2016, British Council Kazakhstan held a schools and colleges Fair in Almaty.

The event was attended by fifteen UK institutions, the majority of which came to the fair for both recruitment and for profile-raising purposes. 92 per cent of the exhibitors rated the exhibition as excellent and good.

Of the 301 visitors that attended, 96 per cent said their expectations were met. Interestingly, nearly three quarters of the visitors were female. We had expected more visitors for this event, however owing to circumstances beyond our control (The government changed the working days) there was little we could do at such short notice. Nonetheless the majority of exhibitors described the quality of visitors as “Good”.
