Education UK (from now on Study UK: Discover you) exhibitions are conducted every year in Colombia in February to showcase the broad range of study opportunities available in the UK, the exciting multi-cultural student life and the post study career prospects that exist globally with a UK qualification.

The 2017 Exhibition was held in Bogota and Cali on 25 and 27 February. The event attracted 1,830 visitors in the two cities. The footfall and quality of students in the Bogota and Cali exhibitions has been consistent over last few years even though these markets have matured. Officers from UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI), Chevening Scholarships, COLFUTURO and Icetex were present at each exhibition and delivered seminars in both cities.

The UKVI officer addressed first hand queries and spoke to various students at the dedicated UKVI stand. Also RedBrit (Ex-UK Alumni) shared their advice and opportunities for Colombians wishing to study in the UK. In addition, there was representation from British Council’s Teaching Centre (Bogota), IELTS and ELTPlacement teams (Bogota and Cali).
