British Council Vietnam recognises UK education agents

The British Council Vietnam, in the annual meeting with education agents in June, complimented and awarded certificates to 23 education agents who have made contributions to the development of UK education market in Vietnam during the past three years.

The awards were the result of the Agent Recognition Scheme which was launched by the British Council in April, aiming to recognise the achievements of education agents in promoting UK Education in Vietnam. Over 35 key agents participated in the Scheme on a voluntary basis. Assessment of the applications was based on the number of students sent to the UK during the past three years, efforts in implementing marketing and development activities, and feedback from UK partners as well as UK Visa and Immigration.

The initiative was launched with the consideration of the vital role that education agents play in developing the market for UK education in Vietnam. It is worth noting that over seventy percent of Vietnamese students rely on education agents for expert advice, guidance and support to study in the UK.

The award-winning education agents will now be supported by appearing on British Council’s channels of communication which has access to thousands of potential students considering studying in the UK.

The scheme was well-received by the awardees many of whom afterwards initiated a number of ‘final-call’ incentives to attract students for the UK September 2014 intake.
