Brief Synopsis of the Schools Tour: India 2015

The British Council in India concluded its annual Schools Tour in September 2015; with a delegation from 21 UK institutions visiting over 28 key local schools. The tour was divided into two groups that included 4 cities in each group visit.

The aim of the tours was to promote undergraduate courses in the UK and provide a platform for student interaction. The programme also included a brief interaction with faculty at each school to explore opportunities for recruitment and collaborative priorities between the participating UK and Indian institutions.

The tour was successfully concluded with over 2500 students attending the table/chair interaction across 8 cities. The feedback received from UK institutions highlights that most delegates have met the relevant faculty members at each school and will follow up individually with each school for future recruitment work.
