REACH 1 MILLION BY PARTICIPATING IN “GREAT STUDENT FILM”!

As part of the UK government’s ‘GREAT’ campaign, British Council Korea has created an inspirational film to promote the UK as a study destination to Korean students.  The film aims to convey the best of what UK has to offer our target audience, by illustrating the student ‘experience’ of UK education.

There will be one collective film and four individual stories specifically focusing on four different subject areas including Graphic Design, Dentistry, Architecture and Sports Management.  It will also be featuring key aspects of the GREAT campaign such as Knowledge, Creativity, Innovation and Culture.

The film contains the following messages:

  • Gain a world class education
  • Have a great adventure discovering the UK’s cities, countryside and culture
  • Get great value for money from your studies
  • Feel at home in the UK
  • Take advantage of distinctive course provision

GREAT Student Film is planned to be disseminated at the launch of GREAT nationwide competition, showcase at Education UK exhibition and promoted through Education UK and British Council websites, YouTube and other SNS channels.

We would like to invite interested UK institutions in this opportunity as follows:

  • Target audience: Korean students who are currently deciding where to go to continue their higher education (ages between 17 and 24 years old)
  • Promotion and distribution channels:  GREAT Student Film will be promoted through British Council Korea’s corporate website, BC Blog, Education UK website, e-newsletter and all possible SNS channels

      - Education UK website: 17,975 visitors per quarter (as of April 2014)
      - British Council Korea blog: 34,110 visitors per quarter (as of April 2014)
      - Corporate website: 138,600 visitors per quarter (as of April 2014)
      - Education UK exhibition: approx. 2,600 for 2 days event
      - GREAT nationwide competition: running up to 3-4 months, targeting students in creative subjects,
         business management and marketing

  • Logo layout and size: participating UK institution’s logo will be shown as a closing credit- after our corporate/Education UK logo (size to be advised)
  • Duration: GREAT nationwide competition will be running up to approx.3-4 months, Education UK exhibition for 2 days (11-12 October), films promoted on both Education UK and BC Blog will stay up for 1 year
  • Number of participating institutions: only 12 institutions will get a chance to include their logos within the closing credit
