UNICEF Rwanda has issued a Call for Expression of Interest (EoI) to identify eligible Civil Society Organisations (CSO) for prospective partnership(s). Eligible CSOs are invited to submit proposals to support achievement of results for children (2018-2022). UNICEF Rwanda aims to support the Rwandan Ministry of Education around four outputs. The Call for EoI is intended to source partnership(s) to support activities under Output 3: Girls and boys, including vulnerable children, have enhanced quality of education for improved learning outcomes.
UNICEF undertook a study to determine the needs of the education sector and pre and in-service teacher development emerged as areas needing support. Through the Call, UNICEF is seeking a CSO partner to support i) Pre-service/ Teacher Training Colleges ii) the national School-based Mentorship Programme.
As an addendum to the Call, UNICEF has provided indication of activities they are looking to engage in, in support of Rwanda Education Board activities during one year.
i. Drafting and finalization of all subject syllabi, pilot test of subject syllabi, validation of syllabi, printing/distribution of syllabi, drafting and finalization of tutor guides
ii. Develop general guidance for Mentor training, distribution of phases 1-4 Mentor manuals, capacity development for Mentor Trainers to support School-based Mentor training
