British Council in Taiwan is inviting higher education institutions with subject areas relating to Creative Industry to take part in the Study and Career Options event on Tuesday 21 June in Taipei, Taiwan.

The event was first piloted by Hong Kong in 2014 and rolled out across markets later. As creative industry has been one of the key pillars of economic development in Taiwan where interest in studying creative arts, design and management remains strong, we are holding the event with the presence of employers, industry professionals and alumni, to facilitate parents and students’ understanding of the UK offers and career prospects after graduation.

The event requires an academic who can give a short talk based on the following subjects.
• Fashion marketing
• Management with marketing
• Brand marketing and management
• Event management
• Arts management
• Spatial design
• Digital design and digital technology

Format
There will be parallel talks rotating twice, 50-minute per session. The talk will be given by UK academics based on chosen topics, followed by an industry professional, employer and/or alumni speaking from career’s perspective.

Between two sessions academics will have opportunities talking to attendees for questions they may have and networking with external speakers.

Presentation slides used for short talks should cater to senior secondary students, undergraduates and/or parents who look for in-depth information on studying the relevant subject area in the UK and resulting career options. Selection of topics is first-come, first-served.

Promotion
The event will be advertised through e-newsletters, advertorials, social media, websites and other channels managed by stakeholders and partners.
