In the UK-India Year of Education, Research & Innovation 2016, British Council and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) recognise best international collaborations between higher education institutes of the two countries.
The aim of these awards is to strengthen and support:
a). student and faculty mobility
b). collaborative research and
c). strategic and innovative tie-ups.
The awards will be given in three categories to Indian and UK institutions which are actively collaborating and demonstrate innovation, impact and sustainability in supporting internationalisation. For each category, the best pair will be given a trophy and a certificate of recognition. Only those institutes which apply for the awards in the prescribed format and submit their case studies will be considered for evaluation.
Eligibility criteria
Each entry should have 2 applicants – 1 from India and 1 from the UK. The institutions should have valid recognition and approvals from respective agencies in their countries. They should have an ongoing partnership in any or all of the following areas:

INNOVATIVE PARTNERSHIPS | Innovation in partnerships could include mobility, research, joint teaching, curriculum development, knowledge transfer, professional development, skills training, twinning programmes, innovations in teaching, use of technology, online courses and virtual classrooms, joint student projects etc. |
Selection Criteria
The Awards Selection Committee will use the following selection criteria to evaluate the 1000-word written statement of the applicants in the prescribed format.

How to apply
Interested applicants should electronically submit a joint application in the prescribed format. All sections of the application will need to be completed and mutually agreed to by the applicants from both institutions.
