British Council Thailand held our very first Virtual Exhibition in November 2012 on our newly developed online platform. This platform enables visitors to interact with UK representatives and alumni through a live chat medium. Our main focus was on how Thailand’s Virtual Exhibition enables visitors to LIVE CHAT with UK representatives who are only a mouse click away. An obvious yet effective message which gathered more than 3000 unique visits on our site in the first week.

During the online exhibition, the chat function received encouraging responses by both exhibitors and visitors. By the end of the exhibition, we had nearly 8,000 unique visitors. From this, 581 registered and more than 400 visitors entered the chat room. An assuring success for our first virtual fair.

The feedback from visitors was very positive in relation to this new way of communication, with comments such as:

“Saved my time tremendously, reduced carbon emissions & traffic congestion in BKK and cut down the cost from your side.” – Visitor 1
“Save a lot of efforts to get general info of many university” – Visitor 2
