The UK Education Open day in Chittagong was held on Saturday, 30 August 2014 from 11am to 5pm at British Council Chittagong, Rafique Tower (8th floor), 92 Agrabad C/A, Chittagong. British Council trained local representatives from various UK institutions provided information on studying and living in the UK.

The event ran from 11am to 5pm. The event was open for all and no pre-registration or entry fee was required to participate. During the event local representatives of different UK institutions provided information on studying and living in the UK to the visitors. During the event UK Education, IELTS, Student Insight Survey has been promoted. Integrated video presentation on UK Education and IELTS has been shown for the whole day. Promotional flyers of IELTS have been distributed. Branding of British Council, GREAT, IELTS, Student Insight Survey and EducationUK has been used.

During the event local representatives of the UK institutions presented the portfolio of different UK institutions that they represent. They responded to different queries raised by the visitors. They offered counselling service to prospective students. The local representatives offered spot application service to the prospective students as well.  

The local representatives of the UK institutions found the event very successful. Though the participation number was not high but they were happy as because they got focused group of students in the event.
