The report examines recent trends in major English-language study destinations including the UK, US, Canada and Australia. Featuring a spotlight on countries which are the main sources of students pursuing English-language study, the report also highlights emerging markets along with those experiencing declines. In addition to examining what is driving these trends, this Hot Topic report explores some of the smaller traditional and non-traditional study destinations. An analysis of data from the British Council’s Student Insight database from its ongoing multi-country surveys of prospective international students, highlights some of the motivations and preferences of students interested in English-language courses abroad.
