This report focuses on prospective PG students from the US, using quantitative and qualitative data gathered from a survey and focus groups. In addition to profiling these students, this Student Insight provides a better understanding of what motivates them to enrol in PG courses and degrees in the UK. By examining factors including influences on the choice to do a PG degree, course and institution selections, funding, the decision process, and preferred information sources, the research provides significant insight into prospective PG students. Amid the rising interest in study abroad among US students, this report provides a valuable resource for institutions and other stakeholders communicating with prospective PG students interested in foreign study.
