The British Council Turkey organised the annual Education UK Days in October 2015 in Istanbul and Ankara.

The event hosted representatives from 45 UK universities in Istanbul and 33 UK universities in Ankara. 1,750 visitors attended the event to be informed on UK educational opportunities and subject choices.

Alongside the main event, a series of 36 seminars were also held, with topics covered including UK education, scholarship opportunities and UK visas.

We worked with a number of key Turkish stakeholders including The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey, the Council of Higher Education Turkey, UK Visas and Immigration, the Jean Monnet Scholarship Programme, IELTS and Chevening Scholarships. Additionally, the event was supported by Caffè Nero Turkey and Yenibiris.com, a well-known online job portal. The presence of these stakeholders allowed the British Council to hold an event that was unique for both visitors and participating institutions.

Highlights from the event

• 45 UK Higher Education institutions (44 Universities + 1 Independent College) attended
