The UK is an attractive destination for German students who account for the fourth highest number of students in the UK by country of domicile after China, India and the US according to the HESA statistics for 2010/11, and still remaining in fourth position presently with just under 20,000 students.

The British Council Higher Education Fairs in Germany is a great opportunity for UK Higher Education Institutions to recruit students and raise their profile. These annual fairs take place in four German cities in November and are held in co-operation with the international offices of the host German universities who are keenly aware that their students are interested in studying abroad and also need international experience to succeed.  Due to venue sizes places are limited to 29 UK HEIs.
