Education UK Exhibition Taiwan March 2013 - Report

The March exhibition attracted 1,775 visitors over three days, with positive feedback on the overall quality and organisation of the event despite the declined number of participating local audiences and UK education providers.

The latest publication ‘Experience UK’ was well received and has been in high demand since it was introduced in early March. In addition to that, the branded promotional campaign carried out prior to and during the event was regarded as eye-catching and was well captured by local audiences.

In Kaohsiung, the alumni networking dinner was organised for the first time and was a great success in strengthening the British Council’s relations with the returned alumni who are keen to support the promotion of UK education. The event was also very useful in increasing the visibility of the British Council in the southern Taiwan.

Timing and use of the new venue in Kaohsiung resulted in a low volume of visitors prompting us to review more sustainable alternative activities there. We will invite feedback from UK institutions and stakeholders in the process of decision making.

The forthcoming exhibition, the European Education Fair Taiwan (EEFT), will take place on 26-28 October 2013. Please visit the Taiwan exhibition page for more details on the largest educational event co-organised by the British Council and European partners to reach wider audiences in Taiwan.
