Education UK Exhibition Russia September 2012 - Report

More Russian students than ever are choosing to study in the UK. Demand for UK education in Russia remains strong for a number of factors:

• high quality
• excellent reputation
• enhanced career prospects

The exhibition in Moscow at the Ritz Carlton attracted more than 4400 visitors, a rise of 10% year on year. In addition, there was an increase in UK participants with 72 institutions taking part in 2012 to showcase their programs compared to 60 in 2011. This year we also had 18 schools and six form colleges taking part driven by a 38.7% increase in Russian students studying at schools (ISC data collected in January 2012).

A number of seminars were held on both days and all were well-attended. Graduates from UK universities shared their experience about how Education in the UK helped them to gain confidence in their abilities and equipped them with valuable skills that employers look for.

Exhibitors gave very positive feedback on the quality of the event, and noted serious interest from students and parents they met. Education UK exhibition has become a permanent feature on the Muscovites' calendar as it helps Russian students who are looking to study in Britain.
