British Council Nepal successfully organised the Education UK exhibition on 9 and 10 February 2013 at Hotel Everest in Kathmandu, with 24 renowned UK institutions in participation. The event was inaugurated by Mr. Som Lal Subedi, Secretary at Ministry of Education. 3600 visitors were recorded over the two day event representing an increase of 44 per cent compared to the previous year. There has been huge interest among the Nepalese students towards the UK with the largest proportion of students interested in engineering and business administration. The visitors to the event included aspiring students, their parents, and education consultancies. UKBA representatives were also in attendance to provide visa information to the students.
