2012 China agent survey analysis

The British Council China conducts agent survey annually to get updated market information from agents.

In 2012, 102 China agents have completed questionnaires. The information collected is valid from January 2011 to February 2012 and mainly covers the following dimensions:

  • Market information of studying in the UK and other competitor countries
  • Evaluation of British Council’s products and services
  • Evaluation of student visa system

This survey analysis can reflect market trends and help UK institutions evaluate their own performance in the Chinese market.

Here are some top line findings:

  • Over 60 per cent of agents see school sector as the fastest growing market;
  • The interest in the subject of visual and creative arts increased over the previous year.
  • The UK is popular because of its high education quality, safety, and low maintenance fees.
