Zhongnan University of Economics and Law seeks UK partner for summer exchange programme

The School of Foreign Languages at Zhongnan University of Economics and Law (ZUEL) in Wuhan is looking for a UK partner to cooperate on a 2-3 week summer student exchange programme. The programme aims to recruit up to 30 students, starting in July 2017. The focus will be on improving students’ knowledge and skills in Business English as well as Business Culture, Intercultural Business Communication, Critical Thinking, Discourse Analysis and other related subjects.

A more detailed curriculum could be discussed with UK partner universities based on their teaching resources and academic strengths.

This is an opportunity for the selected UK partner to establish a long-term relationship with one of the top law, finance and economics universities in China. This holds potential for further collaboration in areas such as student and faculty exchange, expanding academic research and cooperating with other Chinese institutions and local enterprises. It is also an opportunity for the UK partners to raise their institutions’ profiles and brand awareness in China, with benefits for future student recruitment and business development.

Areas of responsibilities for the two collaborating parties:

  • design and develop the curriculum for the programme
  • provide support in the quality assurance of the programme
  • arrange local accommodation and catering services for the students (costs to be covered by ZUEL).

Zhongnan University of Economics and Law (ZUEL) will be responsible for:

  • promoting the programme to students with degrees in Business English or English Literature (both BA and MA holders to be considered)
  • recruiting students for the programme
  • covering the costs of local accommodation and catering services.
