Zhejiang Open Education Group calls for UK universities for a foundation programme in Hangzhou

Project introduction

  • Length of the programme: one-year foundation programme delivered in China
  • Subject focus: new media related subjects
  • Recruitment plan: the foundation program shall start recruitment after China’s Gaokao each year. The programme aims to recruit candidates who achieved high scores for first tier universities in Zhejiang province.

Brief introduction to Zhejiang Open Education Group

Zhejiang Open Education Group was jointly established by the Department of Education, Zhejiang Province and Zhejiang Daily Newspaper Group. The mission of the group is to promote life-long education and education for all-round development. Currently the group has five business units covering international education, educational media, art education, pre-school education and further education.

Criteria for potential partner

  • The UK partner should authorise Zhejiang Open Education Group to recruit students for the co-branding foundation programme.
  • The UK university shall provide a complete teaching plan and a list of teaching materials, which will be carried out by an appointed Academic Director.
  • The UK partner should also guarantee the admission of foundation graduates to its undergraduate programme, if the graduates meet its enrolment criteria.
