Zhejiang Normal University seeking UK partners for joint undergraduate programmes - East China

Zhejiang Normal University (ZJNU) is seeking UK partners to offer joint undergraduate programmes in a number of subject areas.

Brief introduction of Chinese partner

ZJNU was founded in 1956 and is one of Zhejiang province’s key universities. It consists of 18 colleges and offers 59 undergraduate programmes and 63 postgraduate programmes. It has been assigned by the Ministry of Education as a key national training base for teachers of vocational education, and it has been designated by the Ministry of Railways as a training base for locomotive engineers. It works closely with Zhejiang Training Center for University & College Teachers and Zhejiang Training Center for Kindergarten Teachers.

ZJNU wants to expand its international offering with 3+1 undergraduate programmes in partnership with UK institutions. The focus will be on ZJNU’s five key faculties, which are the College of Chemistry & Life Science, the College of Teacher Education, the College of Political Science, the College of Foreign Languages, and the College of Engineering.

The preferred subject areas are:
• Material Engineering;
• Applied Chemistry;
• Social Work;
• Institutional Technology;
• TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages);
• and, Precision Measurement Technology.

ZJNU is also interested in introducing a UK curriculum into its vocational vehicle technology course.

UK providers should be good ranking universities and must be able to award bachelor’s and master’s degree qualifications.
