The 12th Youth for IT Congress is an annual event for IT students and professionals that has gained a consistently increasing following in the country among students, educators, professionals and enthusiasts. It provides an avenue for the discussion of relevant IT-related topics and issues such as digital content strategies, cloud computing, cyber security, multimedia, web and mobile technology. The Congress will happen in Pasay City, Metro Manila on 10-12 September 2014.

The British Council in the Philippines will work with University of the Philippines System IT Foundation (UP-SITF) to promote UK programmes and expertise in computing and IT. We are offering opportunities for UK universities to promote their Computing and other IT-related programmes to the Philippine market through several avenues at the 3-day event.

Previous year’s participants are mainly students (80 per cent) as well as educators and professionals (15 per cent). This year, the organisers aim to have 25,000 unique paying participants over three days, with at least 7,500 participants sitting at each plenary session.

Opportunities to take advantage include:

1. Plenary Session – GBP 1500

UK university will be able to send an academic to use the 25-minute slot to present on an approved topic to at least 7,500 students. In addition, UK university will have the following benefits:

a. One-page ad/feature in the A5-sized special magazine to be produced by the British Council for the congress (content, photos and lay-out to be provided by university)

b. Presentation will be documented by organisers and will be uploaded to the Conference YouTube Channel after the Congress

c. Possibility to mention university name in press releases or logo in print ads for the event. (subject to early confirmation)

2. Booth (2mx2m) at the 3-day Congress – GBP 700

3. Ad and feature space in special A5-sized magazine for the Conference to be produced by the British Council (25,000 copies) and will be inserted in all participant kits
