Van Lang University (VLU) in Viet Nam looks for UK partners

Van Lang University (VLU) in Ho Chi Minh city, Viet Nam is looking for UK partners to develop some programmes including Executive short-course, Joint PhD program, Student exchange, and Summer/winter program as follows:

1. Executive short-course: certificate accredited by UK professional association.
2. Joint PhD program in the field of Business/Economics/Management
- The Programme will be delivered at VLU (or partly at VLU, partly at partner university)
- The programme is validated by the Partner University
- Partner university will award the degree to the students
3. Student exchange
4. Summer/winter program

Van Lang University will be responsible for:
- Promoting and recruiting students to the programme
- Providing qualified teaching staff as well as the required teaching premises and logistical support for the joint program
- Students activities/service
- Others will be discussed

Partner will be responsible for:
- Transfer the curriculum and teaching/learning material
- Contribute to the curriculum design
- Provide teachers training to Vietnamese lecturer (if necessary)
- Provide quality assurance for the program
- Others will be discussed

Van Lang University was established in 1995. It was recognized with outstanding achievements and contributions: investment in building facilities, modern teaching equipment; setting up effective international cooperation programs, developing more advanced training programs on the basis of licensing the training programs of some prestigious universities in the world.

Van Lang University is a comprehensive university with 17 faculties and 60 majors ranging from Economics, Humanities and Social Sciences, Finance and Accounting, to Environment and Bio-Technology, Engineering - Technology, Architecture, Industrial, and Fine Arts. Currently there are over 40,000 students with three campus spreading over the city. The newest campus project’s idea is to create a unique landscape structure which provides researchers, students and teachers with a living and working enviroment close to nature.

Due to the presence of green trees, water surfaces, tropical architecture style and unique techniques applied on the buildings, Van Lang University has show originality and modernization amongst the top universities of Vietnam in sustainable development and renewable energy. In January 2018, Van Lang University was one of the two universities in Ho Chi Minh City to receive the Certificate from the Ministry of Education and Training for outstanding achievements in the movement " Innovation, Creativity in Teaching and Learning”.

On 29 October 2021, Van Lang University was officially certified by UK’s Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) with a 4-star rating. According to QS, it is the first Vietnamese university to get certified with a 4-star rating in its first assessment. The achievement from QS Stars 2021 is a positive indication of a persistently improving educational environment at Van Lang University on the way to becoming one of the most desired young universities in Asia.
