Trainers for Researcher Connect Online courses

We are inviting applications from trainers to deliver the Researcher Connect Online course.

Researcher Connect Online is the British Council’s offer to support the development of communication skills for early career researchers. It was developed in 2013 as a paid for service product. Over the last 11 years, Researcher Connect has helped early career researchers around the globe to present their research at international conferences, write in international journals, apply for funding and maximise the impact of their research by presenting it to funders, industry and the wider public.

Qualifications and experience required

Researcher Connect trainers must possess relevant online training experience, preferably acquired in an academic/international context and have previous experience of delivering training in the UK, within the research sector/environment. They should have: 

  • experience of specifically undertaking similar service(s)
  • experience of delivering service(s) outside the UK and/or to an international audience
  • experience of developing training material for face to face and online delivery
  • experience in presenting findings/data/reports
  • excellent proficiency in written and spoken English
  • experience of using online collaborative tools
  • good working knowledge of Zoom, MS Whiteboard and MIRO - please note that training will usually be delivered via Zoom.
