Sun Yat-sen University’s School of Law in Guangzhou is seeking a UK university partner to establish a joint undergraduate degree programme in Maritime Law. The proposed model for the undergraduate programme would be 3 + 1 with 3 years in China and 1 year in the UK with the possibility of an additional year at the UK partner university to obtain a Master’s degree in Maritime Law.

Sun Yat-sen University plans to enrol 50 students to the programme each year starting in September 2017. Sun Yat-sen and the UK partner university will have autonomy to discuss and decide the detailed nature of the partnership, including the partnership model, curriculum mapping and design.

Sun Yat-sen University would like to identify a potential partner by mid-November 2016, when the president of the University will be visiting the UK, finalise details of the partnership by March 2017, and have the first cohort of students enrolled for September 2017.
