Peking University’s School of Transnational Law, based in Shenzhen, is looking for a UK partner to jointly set up graduate-level student exchange programmes covering a range of advanced legal topics.

Expectations

• Peking University and the UK partner will host exchange students from both countries for up to two semesters each
• students will pay tuition fees and any other fees to their home institution, no fees will be paid to the host institution
• students will be responsible for costs associated with course materials, travel, accommodation, and other living expenses

Peking University’s School of Transnational Law is part of Peking University’s Shenzhen Graduate School, which is based in Shenzhen, South China, a unique area where the world's legal systems meet. It is the only law school in the world that combines an US-style Juris Doctor degree with a Chinese law Juris Master degree. It provides academically rigorous, bilingual four-year law programmes that prepare students for the mixture of common law, civil law, and Chinese legal traditions that is increasingly characteristic of the global economy. Brief introduction of Shenzhen

Shenzhen is one of China’s special economic zones and has been labelled as ‘China’s Silicon Valley’, with 30,000 technology companies located in the city. Shenzhen’s Nanshan District, where many of the major technological companies are located, had the highest per capita GDP of any district in China in 2014.
