Strengthen your relationships with key education agents in China through the British Council Agent Workshops

Background

Around 130,000 mainland Chinese students are studying in the UK, with over 75% undertaking Higher Education courses. In China, agents play an important role in guiding students through their decision making process. Around 60% of students use education agents for their overseas study applications. These agents are the front line ‘sales’ representatives for UK education, supporting the recruitment of quality Chinese students and they are closely in touch with market sentiments.

British Council Agent Workshops

The British Council organises agent workshops annually in major cities in China, aiming to bring national education agents first-hand information on UK education, the latest visa policies and market trends, and to support them to prioritise and better promote UK education, as well as develop their capacity and professionalism.

This year, the workshops will be held in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Chengdu respectively during the period of 17-24 October. 2018. UK institutions are invited to attend the workshops to raise their profiles and discuss partnerships with agents through the below opportunities:

        Promotional opportunities at the workshops

At the workshops, UK institutions are invited to set up a table to promote their institutions and discuss partnerships with participating agents.

Cost: GBP 300 per workshop or a discounted cost of GBP 1000 for all four cities

In Beijing, there is an additional agent fair designed for university short-term programme providers, where you will be given 10 face-to-face appointment sessions with potential partners in China. Find out more information about British Council’s Short-term Courses China Mission here.
