Brief introduction to Southern Medical University
Southern Medical University was founded in 1951. The university now has been authorised by the Ministry of Education as a key medical university. The university has established long-term cooperation in clinical teaching with more than 100 military or civilian hospitals and institutes in China.

The university has set up international exchange programs with overseas universities in Hong Kong, U.S, New Zealand, Japan, and Germany.

Criteria for potential partner:

• The potential partner needs to be a leading UK university either with a high reputation or expertise in medical related subjects
• The potential partner should be willing to invest teaching and staffing resources for academic and curriculum development
• It is hoped that the partner university can offer scholarships opportunities to TNE applicants.
