Skills partnership in aeronautical engineering with Morocco

UK further education colleges and training organisations can now apply for funding opportunity to partner with selected insititutes in Morocco on the theme of aeronautical engineering.

This is an excellent opportunity for a UK training provider to build their network and capacity to work internationally.

About the grant

The selected college will be eligible for a grant of £25,000 to support partnership activities.

Activities can include reciprocal visits to the UK and Morocco, staff time (limited to 30% of the grant), the development of tools and resources, etc.

About the partnership

The selected UK partner will collaborate with L'IMA and ISAMLA, specialised institutes in aeronautics and airport logistics, at the heart of the aeronautical ecosystem in Morocco.

The Office of Vocational Training and Employment Promotion and the Moroccan Aerospace Industries Association (GIMAS) will be involved as key project stakeholders.  

Partners will share knowledge and expertise in the following areas of aeronautical engineering sector.

  • Soft skills development
  • Innovative use of technology in teaching methodologies
  • Making  aeronautical engineering a more attractive career choice for women and girls. 

The partners will work together to produce action plans for the partnership.

The British Council teams in the UK and in Morocco will provide ongoing advice and guidance throughout the partnership, to help facilitate communication and deliver maximum benefit. 

The project will run for a duration of 12 months, starting at the end of September 2024.

The call for proposals is part of the British Council’s Going Global Partnerships programme, which builds stronger, more inclusive, internationally connected higher education and TVET systems by supporting partnerships between universities, colleges, education policymakers, civil society organisations and industry partners around the world.
