Research Opportunities in Japan: JSPS Summer Programme 2017

The Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (*JSPS) provides a fellowship for young researchers, “The JSPS Summer Program”. The program provides the opportunity for young researchers to participate in an orientation on Japanese culture and research systems and to conduct collaborative research activities with leading research groups at Japanese Universities and research institutions over a period of two months during the summer.

The JSPS Summer Program 2017 is now open for application. 10 fellowships will be granted in FY 2017 over a period of two months. Successful candidates must start the fellowship in Japan during the period of 13 June – 23August 2017. Applicants must be British nationals and be a current a PhD or MPhil student at a British university at the time of application. Awards include: return international airfare, maintenance allowance, domestic research trip allowance and accident insurance policy.
