Quanzhou Vocational and Technical University seeks UK partners to develop higher education partnership programmes

Quanzhou Vocational and Technical University (QVTU), Fujian province, is looking for UK partners to develop articulation (Bachelor and Master courses)  and joint programmes in disciplines of Pre-school Education, Big Data & Financial Management, Computer Application Engineering, with the goal of recruiting up to 100 students per year.

Form of cooperation

  • Articulation programme at bachelor and master levels
  • Joint programme at bachelor’s level and in the form of 4+0, 3+1
  • With potential to develop into Joint institute without legal person entity, at bachelor level

Benefits for the UK partners

This provides an opportunity for the UK universities to:

  • establish long-term partnership with QVTU, with potential for expansion into other fields such as research, student exchange, faculty exchange, teacher training, etc.
  • attract more domestic and international students
  • enhance recognition and reputation in Fujian province, China
  • establish alumni association and social network in China

Areas of responsibility for the two collaborating parties

The UK partner university will be expected to:

  • develop the curricula for the articulation and joint programmes together with QVTU
  • provide qualified teaching staff for the joint programmes
  • award bachelor/master’s degree to students

QVTU will be responsible for:

  • promoting and recruiting students for the programmes
  • providing qualified teaching staff as well as the required teaching premises and facilities for the joint programmes
  • award bachelor/master’s degree to students

About Chinese University

QVTU is a comprehensive university in Jinjiang, Quanzhou City, Fujian Province. Founded in 1986, the QVTU is proud to be among the first group of “Technical and Vocational Education Initiative” at undergraduate level in China. QVTU currently focuses on university degree education, supplemented by adult higher education, five-year college education and various forms of practical technique training programmes. The university is made of dozen schools (Such as Automobile school, Intelligent Manufacturing school, Digital industry school, etc.) with 18 undergraduate subjects and 22 diploma programmes, accommodating over 12000 full-time students.

In May 2022, QVTU has been granted by the Education Department of Fujian Province for the license of recruiting international students, and this big step does not only accelerate the university’s open-up initiatives on international communication and cooperation in high vocational education, but also elevate school’s international status.
