Provision of Project-Based Learning Workshops for Vocational Sector in Hong Kong

British Council Hong Kong are currently looking for a variety of leading UK institutes (HEIs and TVET institutes) to partner with us for provision of Project-Based Learning workshops and seminars for Hong Kong vocational instructors. We are open to a wide range of approaches and pedagogies.

Intended topics (additional topics welcome):

Application, implementation and facilitation PBL 1. Guiding principles of Project-based Learning (PBL)
2. Application of the PBL theory into VTC’s curricular 
3. Project brief writing and guidance
4. Facilitation
Assessment in PBL 1. Importance of continuous feedback in PBL 
2. Effective assessment and measuring of the achievement of the intended learning outcomes (ILOs)  

 

Delivery timeframe: 3 – 5 days sessions between Apr 2020 to Mar 2021

Partner requirements: Experience working with instructors/teachers, especially at the vocational level; track record of PBL CPD delivery and development of PBL teaching resources and frameworks

This is a paid appointment. The fund will cover delivery and development costs (rates to be advised by UK partner applicants) in addition to travel and local accommodation in Hong Kong.
