Opportunity for Chinese students to enhance career prospects at the British Council Career Development Workshops

The British Council will run seven career workshops across the UK and China from 25 February to 25 March 2017, aimed at supporting Chinese students and alumni in entering China's job market.

A total of four workshops will be held at universities in the UK to provide Chinese students with the latest information on the current job market in China and help attendees better prepare for entering China’s workforce. More than 150 job vacancies will be advertised at the event, and attendees will have the opportunity to receive on-line training from Lagou, one of the largest recruitment companies in China specialising in the internet industry.

At the three workshops in China, HR executives from major employers will be present to answer Chinese alumni's questions about job hunting in China. In addition, a range of employers will advertise their current job vacancies.

The UK workshops are open to all Chinese students studying in the UK, while the China workshops are open to all Chinese alumni. UK institutions are invited to circulate the attached event information (see separate attachment) to their Chinese students and alumni.
