About the UK speakers

We are looking for 2–4 speakers from UK educational institutions to Chair one of the panel discussions on the first day and conduct a workshop on the second day. The Chair’s role in the panel discussion is to invite 3–4 panellists to give a presentation on their projects. Each presentation will take around 10–15 minutes. After that, the Chair will summarise the work of the panellists and explain how it contributes to SDGs, generates global impacts, and supports the development of global society. The workshop is entitled Research Proposal Development for Global Impacts, and 40 participants are expected. The duration of the workshop is three hours and should include the following topics. The concepts of the 4 SDG goals related to the Thai-UK World Class University Consortium. Suggestions on how Thai researchers can access the UK research grant. Guidance on how to develop a research proposal to respond to the needs and expectations of UK funders. In terms of the workshop format, the UK speakers will explain the topic, and participants will then be divided into four groups according to SDGs goals relevant to their research. They will present their work at the end of the workshop, followed by comments and suggestions from the UK speakers. Speakers will act as facilitators during the group work.

Costs to be covered for the selected speaker Airfare (economy class), three-night hotel accommodation, and airport transfer in Bangkok.
