Media promotion on local newspaper

An opportunity has arisen for UK universities and colleges to gain media coverage on one of Beijing’s most prestigious local newspapers. This newspaper will dedicate a half-page spread from which the UK institution can choose to introduce and promote its brand values, courses of interest and other unique insights that the institution has to offer. The newspaper will provide a supplementary that focuses specifically on international education and is popular among students who choose to study overseas. The total circulation is 300,000 per time.

Past topics which have been reported in the supplementary have included; advice on writing a good personal statement, comprehensive reports on China’s International Education Exhibition, and features about various study abroad programs in Europe. With 72.4% of the newspaper readers having an undergraduate certificate or above and 32.4% that are working at management level, this makes it the ideal demographic for a UK Institution to promote their brand within the China market.

The benefits for the UK institution to take up this opportunity include:

  • The feature can be tailored towards what the UK institution would most like to promote.
  • The feature will be published in March 2014 to coincide with the Spring Education Exhibition. A total of 30,000 copies will be distributed during this period.
  • The feature will also be made available on the newspaper’s website that people from all over the country can access.
