Korea Press Foundation is looking for a Partner UK institution for Annual Visiting Scholar Programme

Korea Press Foundation (KPF) is looking for UK HE institutions that can provide short term courses (one semester) for Korean journalists. KPF is a government funded organisation, and sends 2-3 experienced journalists overseas for career development. The organisation is keen to maintain partnerships with UK institutions starting from this year, to provide various training options to journalists. The UK institutions must be able to provide courses in the subject areas listed for one semester from September to December.

Purpose of the Training:

  • To obtain practical exercise opportunities by taking different range of courses in the UK
  • Acquisition of expertise of each area; Finance, International Relation, Politics, Environment etc.
  • To obtain practical experience by taking courses in the UK

Suggested Period:

  • September to December 2017 (approximately for 2-3 months)

Number of Students:

  • 2-3 students (Visiting students are Korean journalists with high fluency in English speaking/writing)

Subjects:

  • Either Economics, Finance, and International Politics

OR

  • Digital Journalism(Mobile Journalism) and Media Management (Advanced Media Skills)

Award:

  • Students must be awarded with a certificate by the university they studied at

Tuition Fee (Budget):

  • KPF will be able to spend up to GBP3,500 per student  for tuition fees

 

Please note that the British Council will collect all applications and pass them to Korea Press Foundation. We can then assist with facilitating discussions if necessary.
