Jianghan University seeks UK partners for summer exchange programmes

Jianghan University (JHUN) is seeking to expand its international offering and is looking for UK partners to support the development and delivery of summer exchange programmes in the UK for 10-20 Chinese students. The programmes could involve either undergraduate or postgraduate students depending on the UK institutions preference. The programmes should be three to four weeks and focus on subject areas related to physics, material forming and control engineering, chemical engineering and technology, mechanical design and manufacturing.

Upon successful completion of the first programmes, JHUN aims to extend the above into a yearly exchange and explore further opportunities for long term cooperation, such as additional student or teacher exchange programmes and articulation agreements.

Benefits

This is an excellent opportunity for a UK institution to form a partnership with a leading comprehensive university in the strategically important city of Wuhan, Hubei. In addition to building brand awareness in one of the most vibrant student cities in China, the UK partner may benefit through opportunities including student recruitment and exchanges, curriculum development and teacher training.

Areas of responsibility for the two collaborating parties

The UK partner will be expected to:

  • develop and deliver summer exchange programmes in the UK for Chinese students
  • provide accommodation and facilities for the programmes

JHUN to:

  • Recruit students to participate on the programmes
  • Cover relevant costs, to be further negotiated by both sides
