The next Education UK schools road show is scheduled to take place from 22 September (Monday) to 26 September (Friday). The event is designed to enable UK universities to meet prospective students, raise institutions’ profiles and build up or strengthen links and relationships with Hong Kong schools. The road show, which has run successfully for six years, is now open for application from all UK universities.

In the five-day tour participating institutions will visit 15 international and local schools for a range of mini-fairs and workshops on higher education in the UK.

There will be 30 places for universities. Places are available on a first-come first-served basis. 

The visit is timed to coincide with the period when Year 13 / HKDSE Secondary 6 students are making final choices for university entry, and when Year 12 students / HKDSE Secondary 5 will be beginning the decision-making process. Students from lower grades (Year 11 / HKDSE Secondary 4) may also be invited.

International schools are a major source of recruitment for UK universities. At the same time we recognise the growing demand from DSS (direct subsidy scheme) schools offering both HKDSE and IB curriculum therefore will identify these local schools with potential to be included in the programme.

The programme is arranged as a five-day tour with daily schedule ranging from 9.00am to 8.00pm. The format for each visit will involve mini-exhibition style for consultations and short seminars/ workshops on UK education and the application processes, and answering students’ questions directly. British Council counsellors will also be present to answer general enquiries.

A maximum of two representatives from each university can join the tour. Representatives must be university staff, agents or consortium organisations are not permitted.

A participation fee of GBP1,400 plus VAT will be charged. The participation fee will cover programme planning, co-ordination, briefing and logistical support during the tour. Meals are not included.
