Henan Institute of Technology seeks UK partners for articulation programmes in the fields of mechanical engineering and information engineering

Henan Institute of Technology is looking for UK partners to develop and deliver articulation programmes in the fields of mechanical engineering and information engineering.

This is an opportunity for the selected UK partners to establish a long-term partnership with one of the leading comprehensive universities in Henan Province, with potential for expansion into other fields, such as student and faculty exchange programmes or joint research. It is also an opportunity for the UK partner to raise their institutional profile and brand awareness in China, which may benefit student recruitment.

Areas of responsibility for the two collaborating partners

The selected UK partner will be expected to work with Henan Institute of Technology to:

  • develop the curricula for the joint programmes
  • provide support in the quality assurance of the programmes
  • issue a bachelor’s degree to students who successfully complete the programme.

Henan Institute of Technology will be responsible for:

  • promoting and recruiting students for the programmes
  • providing qualified teaching staff as well as the required teaching premises and logistical support for the joint programmes
  • supporting prospective students in preparing to study in the UK as part of the programmes.

About Henan Institute of Technology

Henan Institute of Technology (HAIT) is a provincial level public college, which was approved by the Ministry of Education in 1975. It has been awarded the “National Advanced College for Graduate Employment”, and is ranked in the top 50 colleges and universities in China. The college is located in Xinxiang, a prestigious industrial city in north Henan, which is one of central China’s fastest growing provinces. HAIT has more than 13,000 students studying for college diplomas and over 800 staff. The university has strong links with surrounding industries and provides a strong platform for students to develop entrepreneurial skills and focus on innovation.
