Heilongjiang International University (HIU) seeks UK partners for collaborations

Heilongjiang International University (HIU) is looking for UK partners to develop and deliver 4+0 undergraduate programmes in the fields of visual communication, digital marketing, cross-border E-commerce,  with the aim of recruiting up to 300 students per year.

Benefits for the UK partners

This is an opportunity for the selected UK partners to establish long-term partnerships with one of the top private universities in Heilongjiang Province, with potential for expansion into other fields, such as student and faculty exchange programmes or joint research.

Areas of responsibility for the two collaborating parties

The selected UK partners will be expected to work with HIU to:

  • develop the curricula for the joint programmes
  • provide support in the quality assurance of the programmes
  • issue bachelor degree to students

HIU will be responsible for:

  • promoting and recruiting students for the programmes
  • providing qualified teaching staff as well as the required teaching premises and logistical support for the joint programmes
  • supporting prospective students in preparing to study in the UK as part of the programmes

About Chinese Partner

Heilongjiang International University (HIU) is located in Harbin city, northeast of China. Established in 1993, HIU is a private university approved and accredited by the Ministry of Education. As the only language-focused university in Heilongjiang province, HIU ranked 8th in the 2021 ranking of Chinese private universities by the Alumni Association; ranked 1st of Chinese private language-focused university in 2021, and rated as a 6-star world-famous and China's top private university. The university currently has 10,136 full-time undergraduates, 562 full-time teachers and more than 60 foreign experts. HIU currently offers 30 undergraduate programmes in the fields of language, Business, Information and software Engineering, Art and Design.
