HE Connects partnerships with Mexico

HE Connects grants, from Going Global Partnerships, support higher education collaboration between the UK and Mexico, with a focus on establishing new transnational education (TNE) links and supporting the internationalisation of the Mexican higher education sector.

Grants are available for bilateral partnerships between higher education institutions in the UK and Mexico.

Objectives

HE Connects aims to accelerate the internationalisation of Mexico’s higher education sector, by enabling:

  • internationalisation agreements between institutions
  • communities of practice around qualification recognition, national regulatory frameworks and quality assurance processes
  • new transnational education (TNE) opportunities, including distance learning, international campuses, and micro/nano credentials.
  • more inclusive higher education systems and stronger women’s leadership in STEM.

Partnership activities and outcomes

Partnerships activities and outcomes can include:

  • exploring and establishing new TNE links, joint programmes and teaching offers
  • assessing and strengthening institutional capacity for internationalisation
  • designing new and strengthening existing internationalisation strategies
  • analysing pathways for internationalisation and policy dialogue
  • conducting thematic panels and events for science co-operation and policy dialogues.
