GREAT campaign in Vietnam – opportunities for UK institutions to participate

The British Embassy in Vietnam will organise a GREAT “UK Education and Technology roadshow” event in Danang and Ho Chi Minh city in March 2020 and welcome the participation of UK institutions.

The GREAT event will be organised in the format of a GREAT-branded double decker bus roadshow to schools/universities and public places in Danang and Ho Chi Minh city. At each venue, there will be also information sharing session focusing on promoting about UK education offers of which science and technology education information will be prioritised, Chevening scholarship programmes and employment opportunities at local companies in the field of science and technology.

The event aims at reaching at least 1,000 people attending indoor sharing sessions and about 100,000 people being exposed to the roadshow’s outdoor activities.

The British Council Vietnam will be coordinating with the British Embassy to organise a series of UK education information sharing sessions at the event, as well as a Study UK-branded Zone in which there will be booths for UK institutions to provide information about your courses and counsel with public audience. As this is a GREAT-funded activity, UK institutions are welcomed to participate free of charge.

Please find below agenda of the events:

GREAT event in Danang:

9 March 2020: Roadshow to schools and universities

10 March 2020: Public event (tentatively at Danang University)

Activities for UK institutions to participate:

- Information sharing session at schools, universities and public event on both 9 and 10 March;

- Information booth in the Study UK Zone at the public event on 10 March.

The event in Danang is open for up to 6 UK institutions to participate, based on a first-come, first-served basis.

Great event in Ho Chi Minh city:

13 March and morning of 14 March 2020: Roadshow to schools and universities; 

Half-day of 14 March (16:00 – 21:00) and all day of 15 March 2020: Public event at Nguyen Hue pedestrian street. 

Activities for UK institutions to participate:

- Information sharing session at schools, universities and public event on all three days

- Information booth in the Study UK Zone at the public event on 14 and 15 March.

The event in Ho Chi Minh city is open for up to 10 UK institutions to participate, based on a first-come, first-served basis.
