Enter your digital learning solution to the 2020 Hacking Higher Education competition

The world is changing, and higher education is undergoing a transformation as a result of it. One clear example of change can be seen in the transition to digital learning, but providing quality higher education needs much more than that. Now’s the chance for you or your community to highlight YOUR innovative solutions on how modern higher education is developed further. and how continuous learning can be a part of it. Hacking Higher Education (HHE) Finland offers you a platform to present your solutions for brightening the future of higher education: is your idea one of them?

Hacking Higher Education Finland is a competition aiming to shine a light on innovative solutions and practices for higher education service development, targeting students, alumni, staff,  administration, regional, national or international cooperation between corporations or society. HHE 2020 is organised in cooperation with Akava, the Higher Education Innovation Partners network and Dare to Learn. The British Council is not an official partner of the event, but is supporting promotion together with the British Embassy Helsinki as an opportunity for UK HEIs.

The application period lasts until the end of August 2020, so be quick to get your solution to be a part of the most inspiring higher education development event of the year. You can apply either by yourself, as a representative of a higher education institution, as a group of students, with your colleagues, as a corporation or as any other type of an organisation.

Ten finalists chosen by the HHE Finland judges will present their solutions in digital form at the Hacking Higher Education Finland digital event on the 16 September. They will also be accepted as part of the Higher Education Innovation Partners network, which aims to advance the development of innovative services and operating models for higher education institutions. The ultimate winner is voted by the audience, and gets the honour of calling themselves the 'Higher Education Developer of the year 2020'.

Anyone can take part in the competition individually or in teams by submitting their solution via an online form. A jury will select ten finalists based on the submission forms to pitch their solution to a wide audience and compete for their votes.
