The Education UK Fair in Uplands and the UK information Tea Reception are scheduled to take place on 3 October 2013 (Thursday), in conjunction with the Education UK exhibition in Kuala Lumpur on 5 and 6 October 2013.

Education UK Fair
The Fair is designed to provide opportunity to UK universities to meet prospective students, build on brand awareness of UK education and raise their institutions’ profile.

The Uplands school accommodates day students and boarders aged 5 – 19 years old. The curriculum incorporates the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP) for Years one to six. In the secondary school, a wide range of subjects are offered for the IGCSE (Years 10-11).  Students in Years 12-13, undertake the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP). There are about 150 students in Years 10-13, year on year, where an average of 95% pursues further education overseas. Popular study destinations are UK, Australia, USA and Canada.

Seminars

There will be 10 seminar slots, 30 mins each, as scheduled above.  The topics are pre-fixed with 3 slots open for suggestions, should you wish to present.  If you are interested to take up any of the seminar slots, please indicate your interest and suggest a topic in the application form. This will be on a first come basis and subject to approval by Uplands.

UK Information Tea Reception

We are inviting relevant contacts from local education institutions including principals, managers and counselors from selected universities, colleges and schools. These personnel play a vital role in the information provision and development of students within their institutions. They are well trusted and often sought for advices by students.

We are proposing to hold two short information sessions; Introduction to Boarding Schools & FE Colleges and Introduction to UK Undergraduate & Postgraduate Degree. If you are interested to take up one of the sessions, please indicate your interest in the application form. This will be on a first come basis.
