Educating the next generation of workforce: ASEAN perspectives on innovation, integration and English

About the Conference:

British Council Thailand and the Office of Education Council, Ministry of Education, are working collaboratively in organising Global conference on Educating the next generation of workforce: innovation, integration, and English on 24-25 June 2013 at Centara Grand at Central World, Bangkok, Thailand.

Successful integration of ASEAN in 2015 will be largely dependent on effective human resource development.  Education will play an important role in supporting this, to prepare work ready graduates with the relevant blends of skills and competences. The conference will also explore how education and industry can work together to achieve this goal, and how the government of each individual country can help support this regional integration. This will support governments in their preparation of human resources for the ASEAN Community with an emphasis on innovation, integration, and English.

Participants will include a wide range academics, professionals, and experts in human resources and education from Thailand, countries in East Asia, and the UK to discuss and exchanges ideas in this area.

Participation:
Admission to the conference is free, but travel cost and accommodation has to be covered by participants. For participants from overseas: Two nights accommodation will be provided for free for the first 30 overseas participants that register for the event.
