Opportunity: Call for Application – UK-China RIA & EMaDA Research and Materials Development Awards 2021

British Council China is inviting applications from UK organisations for China-UK partnerships in two research and materials development award areas. These awards are intended to support English language teaching and English teacher Continuous Professional Development. Opportunity: Indonesia Ministry of Education invites interest from UK institutions to partner for the IISMA - Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards scholarship programme 2022

The Indonesia Ministry of Education is inviting interest from UK institutions to partner for the IISMA - Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards scholarship programme 2022. The initiative funds Indonesian students to spend up to a semester at overseas universities to study, experience the host country's culture and undertake practical assignments as part of their study experience. The British Council East Asia is inviting interest for the UK-Brunei Higher Education Teaching and Learning Partnership Project. The Project is funded by the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) through ASEAN Dialogue Partner Grant. Experts with experience in internationalisation, teaching and learning at higher education institutions are invited to share proposals and interests for participation. Join the online event, ‘Partner South East Asia – Why ASEAN Really Matters’ taking place 15 to 19 November 2021 to be part of a series of sessions focussing on international education opportunities across South East Asia. The sessions identify how UK institutions can strengthen strategy and deepen engagement across the SEA higher education sectors in Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines and Singapore. Report: Measuring the cultural dividend: how does interest in UK culture affect Chinese study decisions

The ‘Measuring the Cultural Dividend - China’ report updates and expands on previous British Council research on the link between people’s interest in overseas culture and their desire to study abroad. The report is based on two separate rounds of focus groups, large scale surveys and an assessment of user generated posts on Chinese social media.  To view the report click here.
