Opportunity: Call for consultants – Smart Cities project in the Philippines

The British Council requires a UK consultant with extensive research experience in smart and sustainable cities and urban planning. One of the projects identified in the Internationalisation with South Manila Educational Consortium (SMEC) programme is Smart Cities: Liveable Philippines. The programme aims to develop smart and innovative solutions, with the use of technology, to address local traffic problems and promote the wellbeing of citizens. The opportunity calls for developing a strategic plan, crafting an engagement roadmap, and supporting the Smart Cities initiative with subject area and research expertise.

Opportunity: Call for UK consultants – TNE toolkit development for the Philippines

The British Council Philippines works closely with the Commission on Higher Education (CHED). The collaborations include successful development of transnational programmes. The British Council is looking for a UK consultant who will lead the development of a TNE toolkit for the Philippines. Drawing on their expertise and experience of working on TNE partnerships, the UK consultant will spearhead the creation of the toolkit with support from the British Council, CHED and local TNE experts.

Opportunity: Tender opportunity for research into offers and trends within English teacher online Continuous Professional Development (CPD) in ASEAN region

The British Council is inviting interest from an experienced research team to conduct a two-phased landscape review and needs analysis covering digital offers and trends within English teacher online Continuous Professional Development (CPD) in ASEAN. The research opportunity is expected to deliver a number of outputs including the initial review for identified countries, and highlighting country specific findings and recommendations. It will also include a separate detailed report on the digital English teacher CPD landscape in relation to local and national priorities.

Opportunity: Hunan Normal University seeks UK partners to establish a joint programme/joint institute in the fields of Engineering, Science and Arts

Hunan Normal University (HNNU) is seeking UK partners interested in establishing a Ministry of Education approved transnational educational education joint undergraduate and doctoral programme for Engineering, Science and Arts.
