Delivery partner required for training programme for visually impaired students

Sogang University is looking for an institute that can deliver Summer School (English Language ) Programme for blind students from South Korea. British Council in Korea will be collecting all applications and summarising responses, and submit to Sogang University. A staff from Sogang University will be visiting UK in August to visit possible candidates to discuss further and to check facilities.

 

1. Organisation : Sogang University in South Korea

2. Theme of Training: English Language Programme for blind(visually impared) high school students from South Korea.   

3. Background: Sogang University has been running English Camps in South Korea for blind students with CIW Foundation (budget holder). Sogang University aims to provide broader experience for students through English Programmes in a foreign country from this year, and a successful candidate will gain a possible continuing partnership opportunity with Sogang University.

4. Target Audience: Up to 10 students from local high schools (age16-18, Korean age) from South Korea, and 5 assistants from Sogang University.

6. Objective of the Programme

  • To obtain practical experiences in the UK
  • To experience English education in the UK
  • To interact with students from different countries
  •  

7. Date

  • 3 weeks in July-August 2019 (dates can be negotiated)

8. Budget: 27,000,000KRW (Approximately GBP 18,000) *Flexible

9. Items inclusive of the budget

  • 3 weeks of programme for (5~10 students)
  • Venue required to deliver the programmes
  • Accommodations (Dormitory)
  • Meeting space for assistants and a separate staff room allocated for assistants
  • Meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner)
  • Training materials in both pdf(word) and hard copy format for everyone
  • Transportation from airport to the delivery institution and back
  • Insurance (if possible)

  • Quality of English Programme provided
  • Transportation (Location) convenience within the UK from/to the airport
  • Walking distance from dormitory to classroom
